We started the event with our color guard, paid tribute to our member Irene Salcido who passed away June 13, 2023. She was one of our most dedicated members always there to help us with any event or project we were working on. She loved her veterans and would do anything to help! We honored her by naming our scholarship - IRENE SALCIDO SCHOLARSHIP. We had our cadets there to help serve food, as you can see in one of the photos they had a wonderful time!
***American Veterans United was inducted into the American Legion Post 132 family which consist of the Legionnaires, Women's Auxiliary, Riders, Son’s, United Mexican American Veterans and now American Veterans United.
They are making a t-shirt with a family tree which Area 3 will be a part of.
