I was born and raised in Santa Maria. High school and two years at Allen Hancock College. I'm married with four sons and one daughter. Nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I was drafted in 1967 and came home in 1969. My hobbies are hot rods and 50's music. I recently retired so that I could spend more time with my Vietnam vet brothers. Vietnam was an experience that probably only another Vietnam vet relates to. It was not a good time, but it's getting better. When I go somewhere and I run into another vet, we can look at each other and know that we share a common bond without ever saying a word. It's been a long time coming, but it's getting there. God bless our young troops and hope they have a good home coming.

July 1964 to August 1984, USAF. I was assigned to duty in Germany, Greece, Thailand, Vietnam, Puerto Rico, Washington, California, Texas, Indiana, Missouri and North Dakota.
I've been married twice. My first marriage was for 24 years. I have six children from my first marriage. I've been happily married to my second wife for over 30 years and I have a step-daughter from my second marriage. I have 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. I retired from the Air Force as an E-8, Security Police Superintendent. I came to the Central Coast after retiring in 1984 and went to work with Martin Marrieta Aerospace. I retired from Lockheed Martin in January 2002, as a Senior Communications Specialist and began working for the Santa Barbara County Probation Department. I retired from the Probation Department in January 2015 as a Senior Deputy Probation Officer. I enjoy traveling, walking/hiking, shooting, fishing, camping and visiting with family and friends.
